The crew worked all day. My contractor came by early and asked me to go out and look at the rolled ridge cap that the crew had positioned on the SE corner. The round portion of the cap is larger in diameter (taller) than the originals; those were round, although the gray paint that had been applied at some point obscured the shape. The sample looked more prominent than I remembered or liked, so I asked for it to be lowered a little (i.e., by spreading the flat portions out ). He said they could do that. They did some additional work on the gutters (apparently this was not all done), putting copper flashing on the gable edges, and on setting up cleats to hold the ridge roll. All stuff that had to be done, but not photogenic, so no new pictures today (Monday). No work on Tuesday, due to chance of rain (which did not materialize). |
